Description Hakea bakeriana is a compact, bushy, small to medium sized shrub. It has bright green narrow leaves. It produces attractive cream, pale pink or deep pink flowers in loose clusters in late winter and spring. The fruit is large woody seed pods about 7cm long and 4.5cm wide. The pods contain two winged seeds. Hakea bakeriana makes an attractive garden plant but is usually only available specialist nurseries.
Habitat heath, open woodland
Distribution central coast of New South Wales from Newcastle to the Hawkesbury River.
