Description Ovens wattle is a shrub or tree growing 3 m to 8 m tall. The phyllodes are wedge shaped and grow to 7 cm to 12 cm long and 5 mm to 14 mm wide. Yellow flowers are produced in profusion in winter and spring. The flower heads are globular, about 5 mm in diameter. Seed pods are about 8 cm long and 8 mm wide. Seeds are dull black, oblong and about 5 mm long.
Habitat near streams, open Eucalyptus forest.
Distribution Ovens Wattle is found in south east New South Wales and eastern Victoria, in the Great Dividing Range region.
