Common Name
Heart-leaf Honey Myrtle

Description
Melaleuca cordata is a shrub growing to 3 m tall. The leaves are heart-shaped, and about 1 cm to 3 cm long. The plant flowers in spring and summer. The flowers are dark pink or purple and produced in spherical heads. The fruit capsules are about 4 mm in diameter.

Habitat
sandplains, sandy soils and gravelly soils

Distribution
Melaleuca cordata is found in inland parts of south west of Western Australia between Geraldton and Esperance.
