Description Gold-tipped Bottlebrush is a shrub growing to 4 m tall. The leaves are flat, narrow elliptical tapering to a point. The flowers are bright red with yellow tips and produced in bottlebrush spikes, about 5 cm to 6 cm in diameter. Flowering is from late winter to summer. The fruit are woody capsules about 5 mm to 6 mm long. The plant is also known as Melaleuca polandii.
