Description The Bird's Nest Banksia (Banksia baxteri) is a dense shrub growing to around 3 metres tall. The plant produces attractive dome shaped flower heads of yellow green flowers in late winter, spring and summer and intermittently at other times of the year. The shrub has no lignotuber. The decorative leaves grow to 10cm long and have deep triangular serrations, and makes an attractive cut flower for floral arrangements.
Habitat grows on sand plains and consolidated sand dunes
Distribution Bird's Nest Banksia is found on the south coast of Western Australia between Albany and Esperance.
