Description The Australian Fishtail Palm is a fast growing single trunked palm palm tree with dark green bipinnate fronds, and pale grey or dark tan trunk with widely spaced rings. It has no crownshaft. The inflorescence is cream and the round fruit is red to black and about 20mm in diameter. It grows too large for a small garden but is a magnificent palm for parks and large gardens.
