Description The Australian Fan Palm is an attractive rainforest palm with single trunk and large round leaves to 2m diameter. The leaves have a windmill appearance of wedge-shaped segments joined together. The leaflet tips are serrated around the margins.
Habitat Rainforest river banks and swamps
Distribution north-east Queensland from just north of Townville to Cape York.
Growth Characteristics Height: to 15m
Propagation Fairly easily grown from fresh seed - the fresher the seed, the higher the germination.
